Codebook for macOS 5.3.7 now available
Apple devices have a feature called Smart Punctuation where they turn type quotes/apostrophes into “smart” quotes/apostrophes (curly rather than straight). Codebook’s password generator uses straight quotes/apostrophes when generating random passwords. Previously, if you had Smart Punctuation enabled on your device and entered a quote/apostrophe into the Excluded characters text box, it wouldn’t properly exclude the password generators straight quotes/apostrophes.
This build fixes that issue. Any smart quotes/apostrophes entered into the Exclude text box are now treated as straight quotes/apostrophes and properly excluded from the random password generation.
Changes in this version:
- Fixes Dropbox sync failed to upload sync.lock file
- Fixes crash after first setup when trying to search right away
- Fixes password generator exclude characters not working for smart quotes/apostrophes
- Fixes error when exporting attachments where file with the same name already exists at export location
