# Feature request: Using both fingerprints and passphrases

Hello,

I’m a longtime user of Codebook. Given the recent [jurisdiction](http://www.engadget.com/2016/05/01/judge-orders-iphone-fingerprint-unlock/) I’d love to see the following feature added to Codebook:

The ability to to protect some of your data with a fingerprint and some of it (the more private things) with a passphrase.

Hi @s_n

Thank you for your feedback. Codebook utilizes [SQLCipher](https://www.zetetic.net/sqlcipher/) to store all data. We will be looking into adding support for multi factor authentication in the near future, however we do not have plans to encrypt portions of data storage with different passwords.

One approach would be to allow multiple vaults.

Yes it could also be valuable (deniability!) to show one set of data given a certain password and another set of data given a different password.
