Hello,

I am newbie and I want to compile a sqlCipher DLL to use in a Delphi program.

First at all, as a beginner, I downloaded Sqlite and compile it with `nmake /f makefile.msc` command. This Sqlite DLL is working fine.

Now I want to compile a sqlCipher DLL. Regarding Readme.md, building SQLCipher is similar to compiling a regular version of SQLite from source.
However I have to define some parameters (SQLITE\_HAS\_CODEC, SQLITE\_TEMP\_STORE…) and I don’t know where I have to define it. In the “Makefile.msc” file ?

I downloaded OpenSSL, how and where could I link it ?
The application that would use Sqlcipher is in 32bits. I presume that I have to use openSSL32bits even if my computer is 64bits ?

Thanks for your help

Regards

Hello,

I found an easy way to compile in order to evaluate SqlCipher. I used [vcpkg tool](https://learn.microsoft.com/fr-fr/vcpkg/get_started/overview) and the command below:

`vcpkg install sqlcipher:x86-windows`

I have tried like hell to get this working properly. It compiles fine, but never exposes sqlite\_key and sqlite\_rekey. And, yes, I have updated the portfile.cmake file to include “-DSQLITE\_HAS\_CODEC=TRUE“. Any suggestions?
