[SQLCipher 4.18.0](https://www.zetetic.net/blog/2026/08/18/sqlcipher-4.18.0-release/) is now available. This update includes:

- SQLCipher core updates updates to SQLite [3.53.4](https://sqlite.org/releaselog/3_53_4.html) and other cleanups, bug fixes, and minor improvements.
- SQLCipher for Android adds support for [Room 3](https://developer.android.com/jetpack/androidx/releases/room3) in addition to earlier versions of Room.
