We’re pleased to announce [SQLCipher 4.8.0](https://www.zetetic.net/blog/2025/04/28/sqlcipher-4.8.0-release/), which is a minor update that builds on the recent 4.7.0 release and incorporates several incremental fixes and improvements.

**Important Note** : Applications upgrading from versions of SQLCipher 4.6.1 or earlier should be aware that this version of SQLCipher incorporates several potential breaking changes from SQLCipher 4.7.0.
