# Where to see the database Encrypted file using sqlcipher Encryption in Android and IOS

Hello @Usharani

The location where a SQLCipher database is stored will depend on the application itself. For iOS this is often the `NSDocumentDirectory` within the application sandbox. For Android it is often within the applications `databases` folder, the path of which is accessible via the [`Context.getDatabasePath(...)`](https://developer.android.com/reference/android/content/Context.html#getDatabasePath(java.lang.String)) function.

Hi,

After encrypting we are not able to see the encrypted file where it is stored means path of file in Xamarin.IOS.Could you please share the details.
