Codebook for macOS 3.7.6 Released

We have a very minor bugfix to distribute today, fixing an old but annoying issue that could occur from time to time. Thanks to customer Scott M for pointing it out!

While we’ve got you here, two quick things:

  1. Can we interest you in being a beta tester for Codebook 4?
  2. We’re collecting requests for new icons for Codebook. Something missing that you’d like to see added? Let us know!

Changes in this version:

  • Fixes failure of the keyboard shortcut ⌘return (also known as command-enter) to launch a selected field, such as a website URL

If you purchased Codebook in the Mac App Store:

  1. Visit this link on your Mac
  2. Click the “View in the Mac App Store” button
  3. It will launch the App Store app and display the Codebook page
  4. Click the Install or Update button below the Codebook icon
  5. When installation completes click the Open button, or launch Codebook from Applications or Spotlight

If you purchased Codebook directly from Zetetic (outside the Mac App Store):

  1. Download the Installer package
  2. If Codebook is still running, quit the app
  3. Double-click the Installer package to update Codebook

3.7.5:

  • Fixes race condition when editing Note Entries
  • Fixes edge case crash when editing Note Entries
  • Fixes a crash that could occur when attempting to present a previously selected Entry

  • Prevents the Secret Agent global keyboard shortcut from being interrupted by Check For Updates
