We’ve been working hard this year to expand the documentation available for Codebook users in our online Help pages. We’ve also been adding more Help buttons to the apps while working on both new and old features that link out to relevant and helpful articles.
In addition to these ongoing improvements, over the last couple of months we’ve been working on documentation that’s more suited to new users. We now have available a series of Getting Started tutorials, which walk a new user through the basics of using Codebook. The articles contain step-by-step instructions for common tasks, annotated screenshots, and some tips and tricks along the way, with links to further documentation.1.
Each article is customized per-platform! Use the Platform:
control at the top of the page to switch the content between Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows.2.
Obviously, these are of more interest to new users, but if you are an experienced Codebook user already, we’d like to encourage you to give them a look and let us know if you have any feedback. We hope they’ll be particularly helpful when you recommend Codebook to someone new!
1. Even if you’re a Codebook pro you might find some features you may not have known about. Each platform has its own quirks!
2. You can set the platform to display by default when linking to any of the Getting Started articles by specifying the platform name, lowercase, in the URL query, for instance:
