Beta Update Details
Apple Bug Fixes for Invitation Links
In the previous Apple betas (Codebook for macOS/iOS), the invitation links wouldn’t consistently have the correct behavior when clicking/tapping them. Sometimes the links would open Codebook and then do nothing, other times you would be double prompted when clicking the invitation link and attempting to join the account. These builds should fix up the bugs we found
“Sync Key Created” Text on Success screen After Joining An Account
Codebook will attempt to helpfully create a Sync Key for you (if one doesn’t exist already) when registering a Codebook Cloud user account (for example when accepting an invitation).
- [Windows] This text wasn’t being shown on the success screen when Codebook generated a Sync Key for the user after registering a user account when joining an account via invitation
- [Apple] This text was being improperly show on the success screen when Codebook DIDN’T generate a Sync Key for the user after registering a user account when joining an account invitation (when a Sync Key already existed locally before joining).
Refreshing Manage Contacts Window After a Sync
Prior to these beta builds, Codebook for Windows wouldn’t automatically refresh the Manage Contacts window (if it was already displayed) when receiving data from a sync. This would cause new contacts not to show up immediately until you closed/re-opened the Manage Contacts window,

- Adds Preference for enabling/disabling custom Exception Reporter (enabled by default)
- Fixes return key not properly inserting newlines in Note Fields on macOS Tahoe
- Fixes backup sync key reminder continuously prompting when selecting Not Now in certain scenarios
- Allows edit entry hotkey to save an entry when showing autocomplete suggestions, password warnings, or Secret Agent Action suggestions

- Improve messaging on Codebook Cloud activated screen for users with existing installations
