Any plans to incorporate biometrics into the Windows version of Codebook? I’m hoping specifically for fingerprint authentication.
Thanks.

Hi @HangnMoss
With the release of the new synchronization system using a Sync Key, this opens the possibility for utilizing alternative authentication mechanisms on Windows, including biometric auth. This is something we are certainly interested in. If I may ask, what fingerprint reader do you use on Windows currently?
I use two different fingerprint scanners on my desktop, both by Zvetco, and both use Authentec sensors. One is active capacitance, the other two are swipe.

I’m not sure what’s in my HP laptop.
Hi @HangnMoss
Thank you for sharing this information, it is helpful as we evaluate options when moving forward.
I have Codebook for my macbook, iphone, and Windows system. On macbook/iphone I really appreciate being able to use the touch/face ID to access codebook and would like the windows experience to be similar.
On Windows I use a webcam to login using their “Hello” authentication:
Not excluding other biometric auth, would it be possible for Codebook on Windows use the Hello API/SDK as a means for authenticating against codebook in a similar way that Touch/Face ID works on macOS/iOS?
In case it matters, the web cam has to be Windows Hello compatible - the one I use is Logitech Brio
Thank you
Hello @cspeckrun
Thanks for being a Codebook user! We are certainly interested in supporting multi-factor authentication within Codebook and will plan to investigate the possibility of utilizing Windows Hello for Codebook for Windows in the future. That said, we cannot commit to providing that integration at the moment, or a release date for when it will become available. Thanks again for your feedback!
