Codebook for iOS 5.0.0 Beta 4203 - Release Candidate

We hope you’ve been having a nice summer if you’re in the northern hemisphere like us! :beach_umbrella:

There’s a fresh beta update of Codebook for iOS version 5 available now.

It should show up automatically via TestFlight, but if not or if you want to get going right away, tap on this public link from your iOS device.

Changes in this version

  • Sends device name with changesets uploaded to Codebook Cloud
  • Sends latest seen changeset number to Codebook Cloud at the end of sync to be able to display number of changes behind of each device within Codebook Cloud account page
  • Adds a specific status for loading subscription information
  • Moves paste (Entry) tableview row to navigation bar right button
  • Fixes many untranslated strings in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese localizations
  • Fixes a crash that could occur while loading Codebook Cloud user information

Hi there.
I installed beta on all of my devices: a Mac, a Windows PC, an iPhone and iPad.
It’s well on all of them, with a (very) small glitch on iOS.
I gave some name (“Varie”) to one of the default categories (that with the icon folder), but it isn’t showed in the “Categories” list.
Also, on the iPad only, a “(null)” is shown where it is supposed the see “Categories”.
The iPhone is a recent 15 model with the latest iOS version.
The iPad is an old Air 2 model with iOS 15.8.3
I uploaded some screenshot to show the issues clearly.

All in all version 5 is a really nice one.

Regards,
Mirco

Hi @mirmalag

Apologies for the delay in responding. It sounds like you may have edited or created the category on macOS, is that correct? If so, could you try editing it again on macOS (where the category name is correct) and see if the edited name properly syncs over this time?

In the mean time, we’ll do some additional testing around editing category names on macOS to see if we’re able to reproduce the issue. Thanks!

Hi @mmoore
I don’t remember where the category was created.
Anyway, I upgraded to the current production version (5.0.2 build 4220) and the problem is gone: the result of editing the name is correct.
I wish to thank you for Codebook Cloud, I love the feature, and also for the gift of the free first year.

Best regards,
Mirco

Excellent. Glad to hear it’s working as expected. We’ll continue to do some additional testing around this scenario to see if we can find any issues.

Glad to hear you like Codebook Cloud and thank you for the kind words.

Have a nice day!
