I have some of my passwords on the Apple Keychain and some in Codebook. I generally don’t know where they are until I try one. If I use the Codebook macOS autofill and the password is not there, there is no way to exit the dialog and go back to try the Keychain option.

Thanks very much for using Codebook and posting to the discussion forum, although I’m sorry to hear about the trouble.
You should be able to dismiss the Codebook AutoFill window using the ESC key at any time when it’s displayed (login window or search results). Is that what you are referring to and does that allow you to cancel out properly?
