Could CodeBook generate identities and passwords for sites?
Hi @xy_zzy , thanks for contacting us on our discussion board. So, Codebook can allow you to create any sort of “Identity” you like via the “Username” label or you can create a custom label for “Identity” if you like. As for passwords, Yes, Codebook has a password generator that has multiple options for the types of passwords such as Random, Numeric, Alpha-numeric, Numbers Only, Diceware and Website rules that allow you to exclude certain characters. You can select the amount of characters from 0 to 32 for users, apps and websites and you can find some instructions and information here: Codebook Help - Create New Passwords .
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Cheers,
Don
You miss the point.
Just as passkeys replace passwords, passidentites can provide for a way to avoid the other part of the login pair being reused across sites. Once authenticated, the site could unlock the identity. If both the user identification and the key could be provided by Codebook to prevent having to log into Codebook twice to securely access a site.
