Linux: import/export with KeePass format?

Hello,
Like others who posted here, I am using Linux as my main machine (code development, LibreOffice, Zoom, ). Currently I am using Codebook on an aging MacBook Pro (mid 2014) and an GrapheneOS (Android) phone. I have a Windows 10 VM but rarely need to launch it. I love the LAN sync function because I don’t have to rely on a cloud provider.

My distro is Linux Mint, based on Ubuntu, in turn based on Debian.

Suggestion: export and import in the KeePass 2.x format (Import / Export - KeePass) so that the database can be shared with one of several Linux password managers using this format. I realize that the KeePass format has a limited dictionary of fields, unlike the very flexible Codebook, so the conversion would be lossy. I’m OK with keeping the Android version as the master, occasionally sync-ing by file transfer.

This would be an important initial step into the Linux world. Meet us Linux nerds half way, please?

Thanks
–Louis

That’s basically what I did with RClone, while works okay by being only a southbound setup, it would be nice to have syncing as easy as codebook with Linux/Android/iOS

We have been working on support for running Codebook under Wine on Linux. We’re looking for a few people to help test. If you are current use Codebook, frequently work with Linux, and would be interested in testing, please contact us at support@zetetic.net.
