Version 2.4.7 is now available for iPhone, iPad, and Lite versions in the iTunes App Store. Another maintenance release with a handy new feature: QR code scanning! QR codes often contain data like security keys (e.g. for Two Factor Authentication) or URLs. When editing a field in STRIP you can tap on the “Scan QR Code” button to use your device’s camera to scan in any data from a QR code:
Changes in this release:
- Scan any QR code into a field with STRIP’s new scanner, including handy URLS or One Time Password keys from Google and Dropbox, for example (iOS 7 or later required)
- Fixes display of progress indicator on entry view when TOTP key is invalid
- Normalizes the names we use to describe the various modes for your labels across the STRIP apps
- They have been carefully renamed, we hope this makes the app a little easier to use
- Modes are now listed alphabetically instead of by… well, they weren’t sorted before
- Other minor bug fixes
