Codebook for macOS 4.3.5 Beta 892

Hello, beta testers! Thanks again for helping us vet new versions of Codebook for release, we really appreciate it.

This beta aims to correct a couple of minor nuisance issues, it does not include any major changes in functionality.

There is a bug in the current release that affects the Categories, Entries, and Fields views, causing them to appear narrower than the width of their containing view, constraining the layout. We believe we have it fixed up in this beta, but we’d like to make sure these adjustments work correctly on versions of macOS older than Big Sur 11. If you are running Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave, or Catalina, please give these views a quick look.

The App Icon is getting a little adjustment as well. The heavy amount of drop shadow yours truly had applied to the logo icon in the middle of it when adapting it for Big Sur has started to grow old on us. We think the update in this beta looks a lot sharper now, please let us know what you think!

Changes in this version:

  • Fixes the Fields table having an improperly narrow width on macOS older than Big Sur 11
  • Fixes improperly narrowed Categories and Entries list views on macOS older than Big Sur 11, disables unneeded column resize control in table header views
  • Updates the App Icon to tone down the drop shadow on the center logo glyph

Column width issue fixed for on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 (19H114)!
