Translating Codebook - Call for foreign language testers

Hi folks! A while ago we had Codebook for iOS translated into the following languages:

  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Spanish

This means if you have your device’s primary language set to any of these, Codebook should be translated automatically; prompts, titles, navigation elements, all user-facing text from the app itself should appear in your language.

We’re now circling back around to doing the same to Codebook for macOS. If you’re a native (or rather good) speaker of any of the above languages, and willing to beta test, we could use your help!

We’re currently running a beta of Codebook for macOS 3.6.5 with preliminary translations enabled. This means that they are incomplete in some cases, and in other displaying incorrectly. Also, there may be places where an exact word-for-word translation is not suitable to a button title or prompt.

If you’d like to help us spot these bugs in your language, and you use Codebook for macOS, please shoot us an email at support@zetetic.net and we’ll get you set up with the beta version and testing information.

We’re currently already getting quite a bit of help with the Japanese version (thanks so much @rickcogley!) but all input is welcome.
