Windows 7 failed sync.lock file creation

Updated my desktop version of codebook on a windows 7 VM I have going at work.
Installed all and apparently successfully entered the sync key word list.
when I try to sync it comes up with 2 errors.

  1. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
  2. An error occurred attempting to create a sync.lock file during sychronization

Hey @mstewart14

Thanks very much for using Codebook and posting to the discussion forum, although I’m sorry about the disruption after updating. We are looking into these issues on our end.

We’ll comment back as soon as we have some further information.

Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this.

@mstewart14

We are still working towards a fix for this, but I do have one suggestion which may help resolve it on your end. Here are the steps:

  1. Open File Explorer and paste this in the address bar: %APPDATA%\Zetetic LLC\Strip within that location there’s a settings.db , delete this settings.db .
  2. Launch Codebook again and login, then attempt to sync again – at this point it should redirect you to a web browser to authenticate with your cloud service account and “Allow” Codebook access, after completing that the sync should begin.

Let me know the results. Thanks!
